Zimbabwe Prisons Ministries
Zimbabwe Prison Ministries operates with integrity in all its dealings as it seeks to facilitate the adoption of restorative justice approaches by all stakeholders in the crime care sector and the reduction of crime to tolerable levels as social development is always compromised by high levels of crime.
WHY WE EXIST:
Zimbabwe Prison Ministries seeks to establish partnerships and synergies with churches, business corporations and individuals in pursuing social responsibility projects and programs that benefit inmates, ex-inmates, victims of crime and families affected by crime.
We also seek partnerships and synergies with the Zimbabwe Prison Services in pursuing effectiveness in the equipping of crime care providers and in cultivating restorative justice approaches in the restoration of inmates and the reintegration and resocialization of ex-inmates.
OUR CORE VALUES
OUR OPERATIONAL CULTURE:
Pursuant of our objective to foster holistic, responsive and restorative justice approaches in the reduction of crime through the restoration of inmates and the reintegration of ex-inmates, we shall:
Endeavor to:
· Uphold highest moral principles
· Pursue best business ethics and practices
· Adhere to best professional standards
· Create a welcoming and professional environment in dealing with all classes of inmates and ex-inmates.
· Adopt a coherent strategic approach to our core business of restoring inmates and reintegrating ex-inmates effectively and sustainably
· Meet clients’ needs and mobilize and efficiently distribute resources from partners, individuals and volunteers.
OUR PARTNERHIPS’ CATEGORIES:
We have partnership MOU’s to be signed by partners in each of our partnership categories which obligate them to fulfill only those commitments which they would have voluntarily expressed. Partners will be expected to attend ZPM partners’ consultations and training workshops.
· Church Partner Partnership (for local churches)
· Company Partner Partnership(for businesses)
· Individual Partner Partnership(for individuals)
OUR VOLUNTEER SERVICE PROVIDERS AND WORKERS:
·Volunteer Service Providers who sign volunteer service providers’ contracts with ZPM are recruited from among ex-inmates, partner church members and individual partners who have a passion and commitment to actively render voluntary services in resource mobilization, training, logistical, administrative, field-operational and or general service areas.
·Volunteer workers who render occasional voluntary service to ZPM will be assigned tasks by responsible volunteer service providers from time to time
